How do I transfer domain mapping subscription to our company from ex-employee?
-
Hello!
Our account indicates that the domain mapping for our blog, designmatters.iida.org, will expire on March 25, 2015, but we’re unable to renew it because it looks like the domain mapping is owned by a former employee under the account, https://kylerqueen.wordpress.com/. We have asked him to subscribe to this thread so he can authorize the transfer of the domain mapping subscription to our company’s account. We would also like to transfer to our account the other upgrades he has listed for our blog, including Custom Design, No Ads and Premium Theme: Further.
Thank you for your help! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address.
Only the blog’s owner can transfer blog ownership of any blog and upgrades to another WordPress.COM username account and associated email address by making them an official user of the blogs ie. an Admin first, and then using this process https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account

Thank you for your help, timethief! We do own the blog and it’s listed in our Admin section. The only thing we don’t have access to is the domain mapping and the other upgrades. We will let our former employee know that he needs to go into his account and transfer the upgrades to us. We will see if this works, otherwise we will need further help. Thanks, again!

Hello again!
We spoke to our former employee and unfortunately, when he goes to My Upgrades page on his account, (https://kylerqueen.wordpress.com/) and click Transfer it says: “You are logged in as “kylerq” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “IIDA | DesignMatters”. If you are not “kylerq”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “kylerq” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.”
It looks like our former employee also doesn’t have the option to do the Upgrades transfer, even though he’s listed as the person who purchased all the upgrades for our company blog.
What do you suggest we do next? Is there a way for WordPress to find out what other account may own our upgrades?
Thank you! -

I suggest that your employee who is the blog’s actaul owner logs out of that account and logs in under the correct one ie. the one trhat registered the blog. Please email that person and have them read what follows:
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Hi there,
The problem here is that while your former employee owns the upgrades, he is no longer a user on your site. I can help with that piece. Just have the ex-employee sign in and post to this thread that he wants the upgrades transferred. I’ll do the rest.
-
Thanks, @lizthefair! I will contact our former employee and ask him to post on this thread and request the upgrades transfer.
-
Hello, as the ex-employee that owns the upgrades, can you please transfer the upgrades (including domain mapping, custom design, and no ads) to the user, iidahq?

Thank you so much @lizthefair and @timethief! You too, @kylerq! We now have access to our upgrades. We appreciate your help and love happy endings too! Enjoy the rest of the week!
