How do I transfer my domain name to wordpress?

I would like to transfer my domain name TO wordpress. I have contacted my registrar and understand their side of the process, but am not sure what I need to do on your side.

We therefore recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
