How do I transfer my domain to another host?

  I’m trying to transfer my domain to my webhost, FatCow. But, under my domain registration, it is saying that I don’t have private registration. But, I don’t use .wordpress.com. I have a private url http://www.beniceorleavethanks.com.

  Please can you help?

  Private registration is only relevant to transferring a domain registration in that you have to cancel it before you can do the transfer.

  I’m sorry, I still don’t understand about the private registration. The instructions are not clear for someone who hasn’t done it before.

  I have beniceorleavethanks.wordpress.com and beniceorleavethanks.com. Aren’t one of those private registrations?

  You are thinking of “domain registration”, which you have. Private Registration is an upgrade that hides your name/address/etc from appearing in WHOIS domain registration data:

  Just follow the instructions listed on this page here:

  Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

  And you’ll be able to transfer your domain.
