How do I transfer my old blog template to a new blog?

  Hi, everyone–please help! I have at http://www.erinjensen.wordpress.com blog that’s covering too many topics, so I decided to create a new blog to split these topics into more appropriate categories. But I want to use the same template for both blogs (just alter the colors a little), but when I try to pick out the SAME BLOG TEMPLATE for the new blog that I had for the old blog…IT’S NOT THERE! So frustrating!

  It’s called, “Contempt” by Michael Heilemann, and I really like it–don’t want to change it, but I want both blogs to look pretty much the same.

  How can I transfer the Contempt template from my old blog to my new one? Or does anyone know where to go to find the Contempt template? Please help–if I can’t find this template, I’m going to have to reconstruct my whole stinkin’ blog, including header.

  You cannot transfer themes between blogs and you cannot use a discontinued theme on a new blog, as it’s not available for selection in your dashboard.

  Hmm…that really stinks. I greatly appreciate your swift response, but basically what this is telling me is that I have to completely change the header I made for my old blog in order to create a new one because, while both blogs are under the same username, I can’t transfer anything over. That really sounds like something WordPress should allow.

  Taking that into account…wouldn’t it be in my own, best interest to pick a new theme, and then make a whole bunch of new blogs with that same theme, keep them private, and use them when I wish? Seems like a lot of “loop around” work for an issue that should be a non-issue to start with, IMO, but okay.
