How do I transfer my own domain to self hosted site

  I have my own domain at WP.com and considering self hosting possibly via bluehost.
  I will be using the guided transfer service
  My question is do the guided transfer people transfer my domain name or is this something I need to do myself ? What happens to my blog while the domain is being transferred? Will it revert back to http://bizzimummy.wordpress.com and then change again to http://bizzimummy.com once the tech guys set everything up?
  Also is bluehost a good reliable web host or are their better ones

  I think reading the Guided Transfer documentation will provide some answers for you. if you have any left then post again please.

  The guided transfer people will point your domain to your new webhost for you.
