How do I transfer my URL registered with another provider to WordPress?

  The company, Homestead, unlocked the URL and sent me the authorization code they said you would require in order to transfer it to WordPress. I can’t find any support topics that address this scenario. Help!

  So if I want to have my domain registered with WordPress, I have to relinquish my domain then quickly register with WordPress, right? Thanks.

  Basically, yes, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Once you cancel a domain, it becomes the property of the registrar and is returned to the public pool at their discretion, which could take up to a year.

  Instead, if you really need to leave Homestead, I recommend transferring the domain to another registrar.
