How do I transfer only the MX Record to wordpress and leave A Record in GoDaddy?

Hello,
My name is Patricia. I recently transfered the domain in go daddy to wordpress but now the email has disappeared. I was told that in order to keep the email address working, I should have transfered only the MX Record to wordpress and leave A Record in GoDaddy. But, I do not know how to even do that.
I called Go Daddy and they told me to contact you. They gave me the MX records to give you which are :
Priority (1) > smtp.secureserver.com
Priority (2) > mailstore1.secureserver.com

Could you try this?
1. Go to Upgrades > Domains in your Dashboard.
2. Click “Edit DNS” button on the right of your domain name.
3. In the text box, paste the code below:
(just copy the lines between dashes, don’t forget the periods at the end of each line):——————————
MX 0 smtp.secureserver.net.
MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net.
——————————4. Hit the save button.
Please allow 4-8 hours for .COM and .NET domains and about 24-48 hours for all other domain extensions for these changes to complete.

You won’t receive an email from us, but once the MX records are entered, your email should start working within 4 to 8 hours. If it’s not, please let us know :)

one more question…How do I take the categories off of wordpress….so u do not see it on the site?

Categories are optional. So, if you don’t want a category connected to your post, just make sure that nothing is selected in your Categories module before publishing your posts:

But on my site you see it says, “uncategorized” under each picture…this is my blog http://trishe23.wordpress.com/…I dont want any of my pictures to have a category

I’m so sorry, that wasn’t quite right. If you don’t select a category, Uncategorized will automatically be selected.
Unfortunately, you do have to select one category for your posts, so you may want to change the name of your Uncategorized category via your Dashboard -> Categories page. You can do this by clicking on the “Edit” button.
Otherwise, if you publish a page, instead of a post, you do not need to select any categories. Similarly, you can publish a post without any tags being connected to it.
