How do I transfer ownership of a blog to someone else?

I have set up a blog for a client, along with domain delegation (the domain is registered externally). I would like to transfer complete ownership of the blog, along with the domain delegation, to my client, and remove it from my list of blogs. How do I do this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Keith,

First, your client will need to create a user-only WordPress.com account with an email address they can easily access. They can do that here:
    https://en.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1

Once they’ve done that, the easiest thing is for you to reply here again with their new username or email and confirm which blog and which upgrades should be moved to them, and then I’ll take care of it. :)

    Eurello –

Thanks for the prompt reply! She is already registered as a user on that blog – her username is jennigoricanec, and her email is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Is that adequate?

    The blog is thesustainabilitything.wordpress.com.

The only upgrade on that blog is the domain delegation for thesustainabilitything.com.au. I already have Jenni’s credit card registered for the domain delegation (with permission).

Please let me know anything else you heed.

  • Hi Keith,

Ok, it’s all moved to her! Let me know if you need anything else.
