How do I transfer ownership of a domain

One of my domains is due for renewal. It will remain hosted on WordPress but I need to get it off my control panel and into the name of the owner I created it for since she is ready to take it over.
How do I do this? All I can find is info on how to transfer hosting to a different company.

First, did you want to move the entire blog to your ownership as well? If so, you’ll want to follow these instructions:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-accountNext, you can change the contact information for the domain. The current domain owner will have to initiate this:
