How do I transfer subscribers to new host?
-
I transfered my wordpress.com blog to a godaddy host still compatible with wordpress. I want to transfer my subscribers over to my new page so that my new posts on my new site will still show up on their RSS feeds and emails. Is there a way to do this? I found a similar problem solved in the following link: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/hosting-on-godaddycom-1?replies=17
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The good news is that you can do this yourself. Install the JetPack plugin and activate it. Then use these instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site -
Thank you! So helpful. Does this mean I can delete my wordpress hosted site now? Or do I have to leave it active to stay connected?

You’ll need to keep a WordPress.com account to continue using Jetpack. But if your followers were successfully migrated, then you don’t need to keep the old site if you don’t want to.
In general, we do not recommend deleting your site just in case you need to access old data again. Making it private is usually a better idea. We have other alternatives to deleting, or if you really want to delete it there are steps to do that, here:
