How do I transfer two step authentication?

  I have two step authentication on my blog. I recently changed my phone. I have Google Authenticator installed on my new phone but i can’t work out how to link it to my wordpress account

  Hi there,

  In order to get 2 Factor Authentication enabled on your new phone, you will need to turn it off using the 2FA codes on your old phone and then re-enable it using the codes on your new phone.

  I’m very sorry for this inconvenience, however there is not currently any other way of doing this.

  I can’t see any way of doing that – how do I access those codes? I use the same process for another blog and the transfer was simple – I just scanned the code into my new phone

  I apologize! I had thought I provided the help center walk through on this process, but I clearly didn’t. I’m so sorry.

  Here’s our walkthrough on exactly what you’ll need to do:

  Enable Two-Step Authentication

  We don’t have the ability to just transfer the blog’s security to a new device, you will need to disable 2 Factor Authentication and re-enable it by following these steps.
