How do I turn off comments?

    Hi again.

    Another quick question: Is there any way to turn off comments altogether, or to ensure that I have a chance to edit comments before posting them?

    You have the choice to do either, or neither. When you go to Dashboard go to —> Options —> Discussion and set your comment options there. Also, you can turn them on and off for an individual post using the Discussion section of the blue sidebar on the Write page.

    Just a note: editing people’s comments is going to get you a lot of aggro. People prefer to own their words; given the choice between allowing a comment, editing it, or deleting it entirely, I’d suggest you allow it. Second choice, delete it. People hate it when you change what they’ve said.

    And if you do edit a comment, I would suggest adding in a line saying so to the comment.

    Thank you very much for your help with this issue. I have turned off comments on the blog using the instructions that Raincoaster provided.
