How do I turn off comments for all pages except the blog page on my website?

I’ve built a website. One page of it is my blog. I only want comments on my blog page, but EVERY page is inviting comments. How do I change it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can I clarify something regarding your request? Are you looking to allow comments on the individual blog posts? Or are you trying to only offer them on the blog post page itself (where you see the list of all the blog posts)?

Thanks for the response. I’d like to allow comments on the individual blog posts. I don’t want comments left on any other location or page. I think I finally have it fixed now, but it was a day-long battle. Clearer instructions that are easier to find would be good for those of us brand-new to WordPress. Thanks again.

Oddly enough, or perhaps no, this specific issue was one that a colleague and I were just recently brainstorming on how to address as far as better instructions.
The short answer for your situation is that you need to turn off comments on any page you publish using these instructions:
