How do I turn off New User Registration?

  I am getting inundated with new user registrations, and I believe it’s spam bots. How do I turn off the ability for new users to register?

  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there, this normally happens on a self-hosted WordPress install. Is the site you’ve mentioned, which is hosted here on WordPress.com, the one being spammed with new users or a different site?

  If it is a self-hosted WordPress site, you should be able to turn off new user registrations in your dashboard at WP-Admin ->Settings ->General
