  How do I turn off some of the “blog” like features on my site? For example, on the main page of my site it shows the last date I edited/posted:

  October 26, 2011 by drterabeaber

  how do I hide/turn off this feature?

  Also at the bottom of my main page it says:
  Posted in Uncategorized | Comments Off

  How do I hide/turn off this feature?

  How do I customize the sidebar/widget so it’s different on every page? Right now it seems like I’m only able to set the sidebar so it’s the same on every single page

  I’m afraid it’s generally not possible to hide the post date. Although you can control the appearance of your blog with a Custom Design upgrade, if you’re experienced with CSS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ and http://support.wordpress.com/editing-css/
