How do I turn off the spam filter?

    I’ve just found a valid comment caught by Akismet. I don’t often check the spam bin and I don’t want real comments to be trashed. I’d rather turn off the spam filter than let somebody to be unanswered. I was lucky this time but who knows how many useful comments passed by? Somebody could seek for help and I didn’t even know about it. For now I just left my e-mail for those who’d like to contact me, but I’m really angry with Akismet and want it gone.

    You cannot disable Akismet. You check your Akismet spam filter every day and if you find a legitimate comment amongst the spam you approve it and the spam filter eventually “learns”. Also note that posting your email address on your blog makes it vulnerable to collection by email harvesting spam bots. The better choice is to use the contact form.
