Oops error & Permalinks

  • Unknown's avatar

When I published a page permalinked to my domain,
    the page’s URL (=permalink)showed ‘ block-editor/page/ ‘ after https://wordpress.com/.

Permalink is a URL set for each web page, isn’t it?

If the permalink is a per-page URL,
why is only a portion of the page automatically linked to the domain?

How do I unlock the permalink linked to the ‘block-editor’ on the page,
and edit the link as a whole page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I made pages.
    The status is Private.
Then, clicking the “Preview” icon on the page, “Oops! Error” appears.
How to preview when my site is in Private?

This is the question I made 6 hours ago in this forum.
Well, is there anyone who’s going to answer the question…? :

  • Hi @world2voice, that’s a link to the editor page. Are you trying to find a link you can give out publicly, or hoping to bookmark a way to access the editor?

I did notice the pages on your site are marked as draft / private. You will need to publish those before viewers will be able to see them.

This is related to my earlier response.

If you want the whole site to be private, here’s how to do that:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Then go ahead and publish each page so you can preview them properly. When the site is ready, you can make it public again.

  • Also, I noticed you had multiple threads all related to the same issue: I’ve merged them. Do not create multiple threads for a single issue; this will help staff and volunteers help you sooner.

    To Supernovia?

Why do you think that Two Times = Multiple?

Are you Okay? That’s not 20,000 times.

So, if you ignore the user’s question, how does the user ask for an answer?

In a normal company, if the staff fails to provide customer service, the staff is in a position to apologize.

Do not say that “Do not” to the customer. OK? That’s reverse.

    Are you a staff? Volunteer?
If you’re a volunteer, You’re not going to collect money even if I upgrade?

  • @world2voice, this forum is where free WordPress.com users can get support with their questions from volunteers. Staff only intervene to moderate and help when needed. If you open more than one thread for the same issue, you’re making it more difficult for others to help you.

As for your initial questions, do you still have doubts about the permalinks? If so, let us know, we’ll be happy to clarify further.
