How do I update a shortlink after editing a post?

I published a new post, then went back and edited the post. However, when I capture the shortlink and plug it into Facebook, the original unedited post appears in Facebook, not the edited version. How do I update the shortlink?

I’m sorry but I don’t have an answer for you. I’m sure either an other Volunteer or Staff will though so please be patient while waiting.

BTW I ought to mention that editing blog post content does not change the URL of the post in question.
