How do I update an except?

I posted a blog and the except which shows up quite nicely has a typo that is driving me crazy. I updated the except and saved, but its not changing the text that is shown in the link I have on FB. If I cannot update, can I just remove the except completely???? Help…

Hi @myracemypaceblog, edit the post and go to the options on the left. Update the excerpt there. Then you may also need to go here and “re-scrape” to clear the old content:
