How do I update my DNS settings if I registered my domain through WordPress?

  I am being told my DNS needs to be updated, but I thought this would be taken care of because I registered through WordPress.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Your domain expired on September 15th, so we need to renew it for it to begin working again. Since it is now 50 days after expiration, your domain is in what is known as “Redemption”. (More about the domain expiration process here: Domain Expiration.

  At this time, the domain name is also up for auction by our domain provider. We can petition to have it returned to your account, though if someone has already placed a bid on it, the petition will not be granted and we won’t be able to get the domain back.

  As part of this, there is an $80 late fee that is imposed on us by our domain provider. If you’d like me to petition to get your domain back, please let me know and I’ll send you a link to pay the late fee. Once payment has been made, I’ll send in the petition.

  If we’re unable to get the domain back for whatever reason, the full amount will be refunded to you.

  Hi,

  I just sent a payment request via e-mail for a year’s registration and the late fee. I’ll prepare the petition and once payment is made, I’ll send it in.

  Typically, we hear and the site is functional within 24 hours, though that can vary.

  If we get the domain back, would you like me to bundle it with your WordPress.com Premium upgrade? If so, I’ll push the expiration date another year to 2015.

  Howdy,

  We got it back! The domain is up and working again. I need to let the various systems “catch up” with it being re-added and then I’ll bundle it with the Premium upgrade.
