How do I upgrade my free site to a business site and add an existing domain name?

    I have started a free site to become familiar with WordPress before deciding to purchase a business site. I would now like to start a business site on my account, using a domain name that is currently in use in another location, but owned by the company I work for. How should I go about upgrading and adding this domain? I tried to just hit upgrade in the ‘Plans’ tab under ‘My Site’ but it seemed to load forever without any evidence of progress being made. Is this normal?

    Hi there,

    To add a plan to your site, go to My Site ->Plans and select the plan you want from there. Once you pay, all plan features will be available immediately. If nothing is happening when you try that, it might be a problem in your browser. Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and also try a different browser if that doesn’t help.

    All our plans include a free domain. Once you have the plan, go to My Site ->Domains ->Add and select the Map It option. You can find detailed instructions on how to proceed from there here:
