How do I upgrade to WordPress 3.0?

  I’m confused…. I was new to WordPress when WordPress 3.0 came out, I had no idea what it was. Now I know what it is, and I want it! I download it, it’s just a bunch of files I don’t know what to do with! I look up on how to upgrade, they’re telling me to go to pages that don’t even exist! I can’t find the “Upgrades” page by going into “Tools>Upgrades”, because there ISN’T any page named “Upgrades” in Tools! Could some one give me the link to upgrade please?

  If your blog is hosted here at wordpress.com, then you don’t need to upgrade. This free-hosting service is always running the latest version – in fact, we are actually typically ahead of self-hosted blogs as staff here is constantly, and continually updating the software here.

  Read my replies right above yours. You don’t have to upgrade at wordpress.COM. That is all taken care of for you.
