How do I upload a google verification code please?

  I am trying to work out where I upload the html verification file I downloaded from Google so I can verify my site. Could you help me please?

  Hi there,

  You don’t need to upload the HTML verification file from Google to verify your site — instead, you can use the alternate method of adding an HTML tag to your site. We have full instructions for that in our Google Webmaster Tools guide.

  Once you have the HTML tag from Google, you can add it to the Tools page in your site’s WP Admin dashboard. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
