How Do I Upload a Purchased WordPress Theme Not Already In the List?

  Hi, I volunteered to help update an ugly old wordpress site for a charity and I purchased a wordpress theme, I have all the content, but I don’t know how to get started and how to Upload the Theme I purchased. Can anyone help?

  Hi there,
  Be aware that there is no FTP access to wordpress.COM hosted blogs like that site linked to your username and no upgrade changes that reality.

  You cannot upload any custom themes or third party themes or create your own theme here. You are confusing wordpress.com hosted blogs and wordpress.ORG installs on paid hosting.

  The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting and don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
