How do i upload Google html verification file?

    I’m a technology dinosaur. I’ve downloaded the Google verification file for which the instructions state simply “upload to your website.” I don’t find in WordPress Help how I do that (maybe I’m not doing the right search). Can you point me to the simple instruction?

    Hi Bob! You actually do not need to upload the entire file to your WordPress.com site.

    The simplest process to add Google verification to your site can be found in this document:

    Take a look at the section called, “Google Webmaster Tools,” and follow the steps.
