How do I upload the "SWIFT" template

Hello – Just created a wordpress account…..looking to create a resume/blog. I bought/downloaded the ‘Swift’ template to my computer but I am having trouble connecting it to my wordpress account. Can you please tell me next steps? Can I do this under a free basic account or do I need to buy a premium account?

This has nothing to do with any upgrades.
The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.Relevant support docs:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/You cannot upload any third party themes into a WordPress.COM hosted blog so be clear on that. There is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can create themes, upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database, etc. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.

Thank you. When I bought ‘Swift’ it had WordPress in the title. Have you ever heard of this template. I guess I just wasted $50?

Get a refund as the theme can only be used on WordPress.ORG installs and not WordPress.COM blogs.

Could I post it to WordPress.org and share through wordpress.com? I doubt they will refund. I have already downloaded the software.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

So i received a refund for the wordpress.org template — so thank you for the tip :). I have now purchased the template CONTACT on wordpress.com but now I cannot get into the template to update it. please help. I feel so lost in this new process. Do I need to buy a presmium package to be able to use it
