How do I use Amazon widgets on my blog?
-
Hi,
I am trying to include the Amazon Carousel Widget on a particular blog post. I created it through Amazon, and they give me a code to paste into my website in order to display the carousel (of books). But when I copy and paste onto a post I’m writing the code I was given, the carousel widget does not appear. Instead a hyperlink and the words “Amazon.com widgets” appears.
Where/how should I be inserting this code/widget so that it shows up as it should on a blog post?
Thank you for the help! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can you copy/paste the code you’re using here?
We have restrictions on what code is allowed to be used on WordPress.com for security purposes (more details: Code on WordPress.com.
Very likely the code provided by Amazon has some elements that we strip out accordingly.
You can still post links to books or a link to your Amazon aStore (the bookstore that Amazon itself hosts), assuming their code does include something we don’t allow.
Cheers!

Here is the code I am given for inserting the Amazon Carousel widget on my website:
<SCRIPT charset=”utf-8″ type=”text/javascript” src=”http://ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fbilingupresch-20%2F8010%2Fef63eff1-4f27-4266-a642-a6e1e20fa08a&Operation=GetScriptTemplate”> </SCRIPT> <NOSCRIPT>Amazon.com Widgets</NOSCRIPT>
Thanks for being willing to look at it to check for issues!

Howdy,
Unfortunately, the Amazon widgets are compatible with WordPress.com. A couple of alternatives is to create an aStore and link to the standalone version from your site, or to add individual text or images links. (The text/image link format is also not compatible).
Please let me know if you have any questions or anything else we can do for you!
