How do I use email forwarding as a free user?

I followed the steps for the email forwarding but I do not see the edit button in my domain like I am told to find. If email forwarding is not available for free user’s, what can we do for emails?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On WordPress.com we provide e-mail forwarding, but if you’d rather have full email hosting, you can connect another provider to your custom domain.

    Add Email to Your Domain

Email Forwarding feature lets you use your custom domain in your email address, so your email address can be just as memorable as your blog. All your mail will be forwarded to an email address you choose.

I read through the links you sent and they seem like they would work but the problem is that when I go into my domain to hit edit to add an email there isn’t an edit button. The first link even has a picture of the edit button next to the domains someone paid for but not next to the free domain. I have a free domain so I do not have the edit button to add an email or even do email forwarding.

This feature is only available if you have a custom domain, as @galois already pointed out. There is no way to set this up with a free address.

I suggest you register a free Gmail or Yahoo address that matches your blog name and use that email for your account. That’s the closest you’ll get without an upgrade.
