How do I use my private domain (purchased with another host) for my wp blog?

    How do I host my website through another company but continue to use the wordpress dashboard to edit content?

    I like the functionality of wordpress.com dashboard, but would like to host the domain elsewhere. I have changed the DNS to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, ns3.wordpress.com; and tried purchasing the mapping upgrade – but it did not work.

    Please help!

    Sometimes it can take awhile for changes in DNS to update.

    Just to note, your site remains hosted here at WordPress.com, but your custom domain is now “mapped” to it. :)
