How do I use the background code I found to change the look of my blog?

I found a code for a blog background that I love! Now how do I use it to change the appearance of my blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go here > Appearance > Background and upload it.

Forgive me if this sounds silly…but all I have is a code copied and ready to paste. That’s not what you’re talking about when you say upload it, is it? I appreciate your help, thanks!

I’m so sorry I did not read that more carefully. I apologize. You cannot upload any code at all. You can upload a background image.

It’s ok, I was just confused! I tried that already and it didn’t work the way I thought it was supposed to. I’ll just keep my current background for now and do some more research. Thanks for the help!

There’s no research that will change what I stated above. You cannot insert any code at all.
You have two choices here > Appearance > Background:
upload a background image
set a background color -
Maybe I’m using the wrong terminology for something. Here is what I found: http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/backgrounds/bring-bling This gives the directions of how to use the background, but I don’t see a Design or Layout tab to make this work. Any additional help you may offer is greatly appreciated!

You are pointing to code for a WordPress.ORG site and not for a free hosted WordPress>COM blog. What I said above stands. Sorry but we cannot upload any JavaScript to any free hosted WordPress.com blog.

To read the differences between WordPress.com free hosted blogs on this multiuser blogging platform that all share a common architecture and WordPress.ORG sites which are free standing see here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
