how do i use the blog address i created when i joined wordpress?

I made an account on wordpress.com so that I could start a blog, but when I click on “create a new blog” under “my blogs” it prompts me to type in the blog address, so I type in the blog address I used when I signed up, and it tells me it is already taken. I know it’s taken–i took it. How do I get it to let me use it?

The authors have deleted this site.
That address is gone. Neither you, nor anyone else, will be able to register that address again. That’s why there were several warning messages and a confirmation email when you first deleted the site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You will have to register an entirely new address to start another blog.
