How do I use the new reCaptcha?
-
I have reCaptcha code on a few pages that is used to reveal email addresses:
https://nassaupta.wordpress.com/executive-committee/
https://nassaupta.wordpress.com/region-chairs/I need to change those email addresses BUT there is new reCaptcha code and I just don’t know how to do it now. The old way just gave me one line of html code. Now there is all this new code to put in different places. Is this even possible in WordPress.com now? Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Captcha is not supported by WordPress.com. What you did on those pages was add a link to each of the names, that goes to the reCAPTCHA service on Google, i.e. outside of WP.com
I had a look at reCAPTCHA, and you can still use it – I tried it on my test site and it works fine.
First, go here: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin#mailhide
Enter the email address and click Protect it. Copy the URL it generates first, not the HTML.Now edit your page in the visual editor view, highlight the name and click the Edit Link button in the editor toolbar. Paste the new URL into the Link/URL field of the pop-up. Save the new link and update the page. Repeat for each email you need to change.

Thank you! Actually, I have that link saved but my mistake was that when I used it I had to log into Google (which I did), and I got that confusing home page. I then clicked on the “reCaptcha” button and got lost in all the instructions and code I didn’t need. What I should have done was clicked the link AGAIN after I signed in…it brought me right to the correct page! And I also saw the link “Mailhide” all the way at the bottom of the page…very small font. Thank you again for your reply!
