How do I use the pinging feature?

I would like to ping my blog to a tracking site, how do I access this feature on wordpress?

Pinging is automatic on all WordPress.com blogs, and is done through Pingomatic. You can also, if you wish, manually ping an assortment of sites through Pingoat.com or by pinging them on their own sites.
