I don’t know how to use a blog, what do all the technical terms mean and what happens if i don’t ‘Sticky’ a blog post? Im very new to the blogging world and i don’t know what the hell I’m doing… I’ve just been stumbling along the way. Ive posted in my blog. but I’ve sticky noted something every time as i don’t know what will happen if i don’t. And does the blog just have to be on the home page so to speak? why does all my blog posts come up on the main page and its fully there, why can’t people click to ‘read more’? If anyone can explain WordPress in more detail to me i would really appreciate it.

Congratulations on starting your blog!
The forums isn’t going to be the best place to get a full tutorial on how to use WordPress. This is more a ‘solve a single issue’ kind of place.
I have found that the best place to get lessons on WordPress is YouTube. Type ‘WordPress.com Tutorial For Beginners’ https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=wordpress.com%20tutorial%20for%20beginners&sm=1 ) into the search bar and you’ll find plenty of videos. Be sure to select videos published as recently as possible; as WordPress updates some features change.
As for ‘sticky posts’, you only want to use that feature when you want a post you’ve written to stay at the top of your blog and not move down the listings as you publish new posts. Sticky posts stick to the top. So unless you want a post to remain as the first post people see when they land on your site, un-tick the sticky post box and re-save your post by clicking the update button.
More info on ‘Sticky Posts’ and post visibility here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/Do your posts have to be on the ‘home page’ of the blog? No, you can set the front page of your site to be a static page (meaning a page that doesn’t change with your latest posts). The steps to do that are here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/.
Why does your front page display your full blog posts instead of a snippet and a link to ‘read more’? That is a function of the theme you choose. Some themes display the full post on the front page, some themes display a few lines with a read more link. You can browse themes and read about their features here: http://theme.wordpress.com/.
Hope that helps you get going with a bit more confidence. You’re doing great so far!
