How do I use WordPress when I already have a domain
-
Hello, I have renewed my domain name with 123Reg and would like to redesign my website this year. I hear WordPress has great templates and is easy to work with. I didn’t find the 123Reg website builder very intuitive when I used it first time around. 123Reg have web hosting packages that support WordPress. How does this fit around getting a nice WordPress package to design and manage my site? I don’t know what to do about transferring domains etc and don’t want to pay twice for hosting services etc. Can anyone clarify? Thanks

Hi prioritiesfit
As you already mentioned that you are working with 123reg. Here are some support document that will help you to know more on how to install wordpress on 123reg :
https://www.123-reg.co.uk/support/hosting/how-do-i-install-wordpress-to-my-hosting-package/If you have already paid for your plans then you can just follow the above guide so that you can go ahead with WordPress installation on your hosting and can use WordPress.org Platform to create your site.
Also, Your site is using WordPress.org software which is hosted on another host. So WordPress.com forum is not the right place to get the solution for your question.
You can post your question in WordPress.org forum:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/For more information here is the support documentation link below:
https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress.com forum helps the sites hosted on WordPress.com only
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are both different platforms, you can find more information for this here:
