How do I view and edit html for my posts?

    I used to be able to insert code into my posts and edit the code. Now I don’t have a tab for that, just for TEXT. When I insert the code into the TEXT view, it doesn’t work. I am attempting to put an html button and drop down menu into a post, and when I put the code into the TEXT screen, and then look at the VISUAL tab, it shows up correctly, but when I publish it, it does not publish correctly.

    Hi Cynthia,

    The Text editor is the HTML view editor. At WordPress.com, we do have restrictions on what code can be used (more about this can be seen at Code).

    Form elements aren’t permitted, so likely you’re seeing our enforcement of our code policy.
