How do make my 'home' link and the header link go to the same page?
-
If you click the header ‘Cherish & Nurture’ you will see three sliding images… If you click on ‘home’ you will see my home page content.
I want the slinding images and the home page content on both pages… either have two pages that are the same or two links that take you to the same page, how do I do this?
My website is cherishandnurture.wordpress.com and I am using the forever theme
Thank you in advanced
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. There isn’t a way to have the slider, and a static page at the same time, as the slider is only displayed on the home page when blog posts are being displayed.
You can set the “Home” page you created to display at the home url (cherishandnurture.wordpress.com) by going to your Dashboard then Settings > Reading and changing your Front page to a “static page” and select the Home page you created.
Alternatively, you could copy that content into a blog post, and it would display on your home page with the slider. You could just leave the single blog post for this purpose, and have the rest of the content on your site be in pages.

Thank you. I tried changing the to a static page under settings but as you said the slider diapered. So I removed the home page and added the content as a post. Do you know how to make the post not look like a blog I.e. name, when it was sent etc? Oh and do you know how to remove ‘leave a comment at the bottom of each page?

Oh and do you know how to remove ‘leave a comment at the bottom of each page?
All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts as in evidenced own your own blog. You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/Any existing posts or pages will need to have comments disabled manually via editing. You can use the bulk edit feature in the all posts and all pages screen to make that quicker.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/Note: By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

You would also need to use CSS to “display: none” all of the “blog post” elements (such as title, post meta, etc).

The only themes we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/
On one hand, none of the characteristic “blog” features like categories, tags, authors, dates, etc. can be removed from a free hosted WordPress.com blog, without purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/On the other hand, one can edit a WordPress.org theme free of charge. Read the comparison > WordPress.com and WordPress.org: The Differences http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication.
A website is a page based site designed to operate as a one way means of communication ie. a noticeboard.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based. For greater clarity read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/07/25/create-a-wordpress-website-step-by-step/

Thank you both for your help. I have had a go at trying to change settings under discussion but it hasn’t seemed to have changed anything :/ I’m a little confused, I might have to find someone local who can show me or do it for me.
Thank you both again xx

dlclancy: to make the post on your home page look more like a static page, and not a blog post, you’ll need to use Custom CSS to hide the “header” of the blog post. The following CSS should work:
.home .entry-header { display: none; } -
-
Yes, it’s part of the Custom Design addon, which it appears you have already purchased. If you go to your Dashboard, and then to Appearance > Custom Design, you can click the Customize button next to CSS, and insert the code above.
