How do my followers receive notification by email instead of in the Reader?

    When my followers click on the Follow button, they are told they will receive notifications in the Reader and there is no button for them to fill in their email address, where they would like to receive notifications.

    If they’re registered here on WordPress.com, they automatically get email notifications of updates on the sites they follow, at the email address they used when they registered. They can block those emails within the Notifications settings in their account. I don’t think there’s anything you can do to change that. Do you have specific followers who are telling you they aren’t getting those email updates?
