How do my private users login?

  I’ve set my blog to private as I only want certain people to be able to view my blog. I don’t want anyone to be able to edit or add content to my blog except for comments.

  I have the usernames for all the chosen people but what password do they use to login? My password doesn’t work. Can I assign them a different password?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You put their names in the appropriate box on your settings and then they don’t have to put a password in; they just have to sign in to WP.com, in their regular account. Then they can go to the blog. Nobody else can see it.

  So do they have to have a wordpress account before they can view my blog?

  Yes, they need a wordpress.com account. If the don’t have one, you can send an invite to their e-mail address, which will give them a link to where they sign up. And that is where they chose their own username.
