How do non-WordPress members access a password protected post?

  I am creating a special blog https://inaplaceapart2.wordpress.com/ that I want available only to WordPress members I ask to join me. I’m also asking some non-WordPress members as well.

  I understand the difference between a private blog and a password protected entry. I want the entries password protected because there might be some info that will be a public posting for all to see.

  How exactly do the non-WordPress members access the password protected post? I plan to notify them by email. I need to have the exact access instructions to include.

  Also, for password protected entries I understand they are not visible but will they ever come in in a Google search? What about the photos from these password protected entries. Will they appear in Google images?

  If the images will appear in google then I’ll have to make password protected photo albums at Photobucket and send invites to those albums.

  I appreciate your assistance very much. I love WordPress so much. I just want family and selected friends to have access to this blog and photos.
