How do people accept the invitation if they are directed to a log-in page?

When our invitations are sent to some viewers, they are directed to a log-in page, but they do not have a WordPress account. I want them to be able to go straight to the blog when they accept the invitation.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

They do not have to register a blog. They can choose to create a username account only.

Here is what the relevant support doc states:

They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.

Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

If they are not successful post again and provide all the details including the usernames and email addresses. The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff attention, and subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond.
