If you want people to find your blog by using a search engine, this WordPress support document states:
“The best advice we can give you about getting listed in search engines is to make sure your Privacy Settings do allow search engines and then write good content and descriptive titles for images.”

Just to add to @catkiinson’s answer, you can share your blog on social media platforms such as facebook or instagram.
If you want to know how can people find your blog through a google or other search engine, do know that it may take upto 8 weeks for Google to get your blog indexed.

thanks for that info but as a total novice at this how often do I need to add a blog and if you look at my blog is it too long or should I have split into two?As a first time novice I definitely need advice on this

I guess, yo should try to publish a blog every week, regularly, and share it on all your social platforms. With time it will start being visible at google searches if it gets good exposure on social media.

as I said before I am a total novice plus being old in years but not in heart
how do I add my second blog as I don;t know how or where to do it on wordpress, I know this sounds silly but I would appreciate your help.
