How do people post actual Images, not links in the comments box?
-
I am having trouble posting actual pictures and videos- NOT links to them in the comment section. I am asking my students to post these media without merely giving a link and neither they nor I can figure this out. I have used WordPress many times and was able to do this no problem. Why doesn’t it work now?
Please help and spell out what I need to do. I am not so quick with this. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

They can’t. A blog is not a wiki where it’s free for all post whatever you want and edit what you like environment members log-in environment. If they could post images directly into comments on your blog then so could every flesh peddling spammer.

More to the point is this where the heck would the images they posted be hosted? Their computers are not web servers. All images must be hosted somewhere on a server on the internet in order to display when a browser calls for the server to display them..

Provided the images and videos are on a web server somewhere on the internet your student can post the URLs into the comments boxes and you can then choose whether or not to display them.
and wait patiently for Staff to respond >If that does not suit you then you need to assign a user role to all students that provides them with the ability to post images and videos into posts and pages. http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#author

Thanks for your input.
Is there a limit to how many people I can invite? The invite page says I can enter up to 10 people. Is that PER invite page or in total? I don’t want to invite some kids and find out I can’t do it for all. Please let me know.
Thanks!

BTW I had students just drop images and videos in by using WordPress in 2011. So, they must have changed things.

In order not to look like an email spammer, you can invite 10 people at a time. There is no limit to how many people you can invite to view your blog! Just send up to 10 invitations at a time.
Folks can post videos into comments, but not images. As the administrator of a site, you can post pictures in comments. If your students post links to pictures, you, as the blog administrator, can edit the comments so that the images will appear.
ThIs is not different from years ago. The function has not changed.
