How do we know if people are subscribed to our blog?
-
Sorry if this has been answered already. I looked and couldn’t find any topics on this. Where do we access this info?

-
Thanks!
drmike – that’s just people who read our feed, but aren’t necessarily subscribed, right?

Those are people who are pulling your feed. Most folks don’t pull feeds just for the heck of it.

-
Anyone who has a feedreader account and who chooses to can access your feed and read your posts and/or comments through the rss feeds to your blog. There is no way of telling who they are however why would they pull your feed if they weren’t subscribers?
-
Can’t Feedburner tell you the IPs of people pulling your feed? I thought that was the original question, “WHO is reading our feeds?”
-
I suppose if she uses Feedburner that is true but I use Bloglines and Feedblitz. Then there are also those who draw the feed from the wordpress.com blog surfer as well and we don’t have any way that I know of to tell us WHO they are or how many there are of them, do we?
What we do know is if you have feed reader stats then people are drawing on your feed. And I don’t think they would be doing that unless they were subscribers.

I would like to know a similar thing:
How many people are subscribed to my blog!?
When I click on Dashboard, I don’t have “Feed Stats” as an option…
Is this a WP version issue?
Am I simply looking in the wrong place?
I installed WP on my own domain so it’s http://www.domainname.com (rather than blogname.wordpress.com etc)
Any help would be much appreciated..

andreecakes,
I suggest you try the forums at wordpress.org. Here at wordpress.com we are running a different software and cannot help. -
Please note it’s always a good idea to read a sticky post labeled “Please Read Me First Before Posting” as it usually contains important information. :)
