How do you add a custom header?

Hello! I’m new to this and I’ve looked around a lot in the support section, but can’t figure out how to add an image as a header. I am using the Twenty Ten theme, which is in the section of themes that allow custom headers, but when I try to go to Appearance and look for the “Header” option, it’s not there. When I go to the Customize option, it stays stuck forever on the page with the “Loading design tools…” in the right column. It seems like it should be much easier than this and I’m sure I’m missing something.
Any help would be appreciated! I’m looking forward to learning more. Thank you.

Thank you. I finally figured it out with a friend’s help. I had already updated the browser, but doing two things with the cookies helped. Thank you so much for you help!
