How do you add a new widget / plugin?

  I want to add a plugin to my wordpress website.. however the plugins menu is not there at all in the dashboard I know i’ve used it before… any help would be appreciated?

  Same goes for widgets.. how do you add new ones?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There are restrictions on the code that we can use on this multi-user wordpress.com platform for security reasons.

  Also, plugins cannot be used at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted wordpress sites using the software from wordpress.ORG.

  If the code for the widgets is straight HTML (no restricted code or scripts) then you paste the code into a test widget.
