How do you add the Pinterest widget to your sidebar?
-
Pinterest has a widget builder that allows you to add your Pinterest profile to your site or sidebar.
http://business.pinterest.com/widget-builder/#do_embed_userI tried both types of codes and WordPress strips it all in the Widget area of my sidebars.
Then I found this on the WordPress support site:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/embed-from-pinterest/When I try it on a page, it works exactly like they say it does, but if I do it as a Widget, it doesn’t work at all.
Any suggestions on how to make this work? I love WordPress but they sure don’t make it easy sometimes.

Okay, so I was not able to do it correctly as a widget either, but this here is a round about way I did, which gives better results.
What I did was I clicked on the first link you gave. I pasted the link to the board I wanted to show on my blog into the space and customized the shape of the widget. Then, once it looked how I wanted it to, I took a screen shot of it using Command-Shift-4, which saved to my desktop. After that, I uploaded the photo under with “Add New Media” onto my blog, so I could get the URL of the image.
Then I went to Widgets and added a new “Image” Widget. I pasted the widget link Pinterest gave me as the title, then pasted the URL where it asks for Image URL. After that, I copied the URL to my board on Pinterest and pasted it on the widget where it asks for a link, so when people click on the image, it directs them to the board. Hope this helps! My blog is theboardersblog.com if you want to see how it looks.

Well, I don’t know why I didn’t think about this, but it’s a great and simple idea! Thank you so much for your response and I’ll be working on this tomorrow.
Hopefully this helps other people too. I found other posts with the same problem and they were closed without being resolved.
