How do you add twitter to your widgets?

  I have been working for hours trying to add the twitter widget and make it live on the blog. They used to display there, but now they’re gone. I did everything that I was asked to do on the new twitter timeline. I have gone to twitter and set up the widget, copy and pasted the code to the blank spot on the twitter widget, but nothing has happened. This is really frustrating. Please help.
