How do you back up your website?

    Can I save my website to disc? Is there any point doing so – ie. safety.

    Hello! On WordPress.com we ensure that your site is backed up in case anything happens to our servers, so you don’t need to worry about backing up your site from that standpoint.

    However, you can always create an export of your site and save it on your local machine for added peace of mind. Go to Tools -> Export from your site’s dashboard and save the XML file to your local computer.
