How do you change homepage thumbnail for social media?

I have been having this problem where when I post just the link to my home page, http://peterorrestad.com/, It automatically pulls the social media thumbnails (twitter, facebook, LInkedin). I want to change that. Not sure if this is the Gravatar or Blavatar, but I have successfully changed both and I still have this problem. Let me know if you need more info

Where exactly are you posting to? It looks like peterorrestad.com is a self-hosted WordPress.org site so I’m not quite sure how much I’d be able to help. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

Ok, well not sure where this should go then. Basically, when I post the link to my homepage the thumbnail that comes up is always the twitter icon. I can’t figure out how to change it so that it is a different image. I thought it had something to do with my Gravatar or Blavatar. Hope this clarify’s things a bit.

Where are you posting the link? For example when WordPress.com users share their sites on Facebook, Facebook controls what image represents your site not us at WordPress.com. We just provide the images and info, and Facebook chooses what they want according to their rules.
For WordPress.org sites – I’m not quite sure how it works. As for support, try heading to the .org forums and see if you can get some help there:
